DEAR SPROUTMAN: It’s been a week, and my alfalfa still isn’t green. – YELLOW
DEAR YELLOW: Your sprouts are suffering from lack of light and lack of warmth. If your home is very cold, you can warm your sprouts by rinsing them in lukewarm water. Test the water first to make sure it is not hot. If your apartment is dark, invest in some Vita-lites. They will do the best job. Regular incandescent bulbs or grow lights will work, but be careful they do not create too much heat for your sprouts.
